At Kelowna Instruments our first priority is ensuring that all of our repair services are long term solutions to the issues that customers are experiencing. All of the repair services we render utilize the highest quality parts available for each application, which are then installed by technicians with the highest levels of training and tooling. For all repair services provided by Kelowna Instruments the following warranty will apply:
Warranty Length
1. All warranties shall be valid for 1 year from the date of invoice of your selected repair service at our facility unless explictly stated otherwise.
2. All warranties will be fully transferrable to a new owner of a given part provided the VIN(Vehicle Identification Number) from the original repair services is provided.
Submitting a Warranty Claim
3. Prior to sending back any module for warranty you must first obtain authorization from Kelowna Instruments by either calling our office or reaching out via the website's contact form. In order to process your warranty claim we require your VIN(vehicle identification number) that was submitted with your module when it was originally sent in for service.
Warranty Coverages
4. Once the warranty return has been authorized Kelowna Instruments will provide you with information to send your module back on a ground courier service at no cost to you. The costs of returning the module to you after the warranty service would also be covered. While Kelowna Instruments will always try to select the most convenient option to you, we are sometimes not able to with certain courier or delivery services due to them not allowing for billing directly to us.
5. If your module that you are sending back for warranty can be repaired then it shall be repaired at no cost to you. If the module requires replacement then Kelowna Instruments will apply the cost that you have paid for the original repair towards the cost of replacing your module. If for any reason Kelowna Instruments cannot replace your module then you will be refunded for the total invoice price of your repair service.
6. After your warranty claim has been authorized you have 30 days to return the module to a Kelowna Instruments facility. After 30 days has elapsed you will need to get another warranty authorization. You are not able to get a warranty authorization for a module that already has a 30 day warranty authorization.
7. If you have received a warranty authorization in which 30 days from the date of authorization would exceed the duration of the warranty(IE: You have 4 days left on the warranty and get an authorization for a warranty return) then your warranty will remain valid until the date of that warranty authorization's expiration 30 days later.
8. If the module you have sent in for warranty turns out to exhibit no issues under testing at our facility then you will be responsible for the costs of the freight to return the module to our facility as well as the costs of the freight to get the module back to you.
What does the warranty not cover?
9. Our warranty does not cover damages that may occur to your module from improper installation of the module in the vehicle, damages caused by other defective parts of the vehicle, non-factory software alterations to the module(IE: tuning), or damages caused by collisions, fire damage, water damage, or lightning strikes or other catastrophic electrical damages to the vehicle.
10. The warranty does not covered any costs of removing or reinstalling your module as well the warranty does not cover any damages that may occur to your module if you should pack it poorly when shipping it back to our facility.
11. Diagnostics by a mechanic are also not covered by our warranty as it is expected that diagnostics have been performed prior to sending your module in for one of our repair services.
12. If tamper seals on your module are found to have been removed and there is evidence to suggest your module has been tampered with beyond said seals once the module has been returned to Kelowna Instruments, then your warranty will be considered void.
Refunds
13. Kelowna Instruments does not issue refunds unless you have had a repair service performed in which a replacement module is required and Kelowna Instruments is unable to facilitate that replacement.
